Hi Zuhair, thanks for reaching out and thank you for your consideration and interest in Nokia. We recognize that finding a new role can be a time-consuming process and the program (not to mention the current industry) is highly competitive. Not only do we look at technical skills or relevant work experience, but we also look for those who can demonstrate and highlight accomplishments (i.e. successful completion of projects - how it improved time, efficiency, etc), passion, and interest in next-generation technology. For example, are you an individual who only focuses on schoolwork, or are you an individual who participates in conferences, and networking sessions, joins student-led associations, takes on side projects, etc? These are all aspects that could help you stand out from the many other applicants with similar experiences or education as each other. I hope this helps! Thanks and best of luck in your job search.

Thank you for your detailed explanation, and I think I will be a good fit. I wanted to ask, how can I reach the hiring manager for my role?

Hi Zuhair, apologies you were not selected to move forward in the next stage of the application process. As I mentioned, it is highly competitive to get into a student position with Nokia. Getting rejected does not mean you were not a good fit for the role. What it could mean is that they have other candidates with either more relevant skills, someone with more experience, or that they had someone in mind for the position, etc. I encourage you to continue to work on your profile and apply to positions that you would be interested in. Best of luck in your application process!
