My first year was full of learnings. I'm not talking about trainings, but more on the personal side, to familiarize myself with the company culture. This has many aspects, I quickly realized that there's a lot of collaboration going on cross functions, cross regions, also I noticed the way people talk to each other or email each other, how they hold meetings, how the presentations are created and designed. Even how to phrase a question when you want to know something - which sounds funny if you think about it but cultural differences do exist between organizations. To summarize, I spent a lot of time on things that are directly related to work life and to align myself with the culture.
