In reference to Audio Signal processing Summer Internship
It really depends on the role you take. I cannot say for the audio signal processing in general as I myself work with system-on-chip. At least in my experience, there is the freedom to choose what type of tasks you would like to take based on your own interests. I suggest you have a discussion with your hiring manager regarding the tasks and the scope of the role being offered. In a nutshell, you most probably will have some freedom when defining your work areas.
Dharmendra S. any insights you want to share from your perspective?
Thanks, I believe Talita has provided excellent insight into the work environment and the flexibility to contribute to a particular work area. You would be happy to know that the theory of signal processing and its application to audio was primarily developed at Bell Labs in the mid-20th century and Bell Labs is a part of Nokia. You would generally find a very supportive work environment that allows maximum creativity and fulfillment. I wish you the best.
Thank you for the insightful replies. Very good to know about the flexibility of projects.
