Some of our positions allow us to sponsor visas for foreign applicants. However, that is not the case for all of them. When applying to our vacancies, you can see if we accept or not foreign applicants and if we are able to sponsor the visa. Keep an eye on our opportunities and stay tuned!

Well, this all depends. In IT we are currently looking for people in three hubs - in Amadora/Lisbon in Portugal, Budapest in Hungary and in Bangalore in India. All depends on the job descriptions and the unique fit of the job seeker.

Alright, I will first apply for positions in Antwerp and I will also apply for Lisbon in Portugal/

Check our jobs on www.nokia.com/careers. We have plenty of opportunities in IT!

Hi Mohamad, this depends on the country. We have local HR specialist knowing the country and rules and if you would be selected for a job we would try our best to support in getting a work visa. Prerequisite for employment however is getting the visa granted.

Alright, and what level of experience do you require for IT positions?

We are looking for more than 100 roles .. this means that each role has its own description and certain skills are required. Have a look and browse and let us know where you think you fit!

Hi Mohamad, it really depends on the position you apply to. Some are for more junior people and some others will require proven experience. Have a look to those available. You may find a few that fit your skills and experience.

Can you share what is your experience so far in IT? We have a large number of open positions and are looking for competent "do-ers" in multiple areas.

I have experience in QA, developing in languages such as C#, JavaScript and C++, also did projects in machine learning at my university. I have already applied to several positions in Antwerp Belgium last month and still waiting to get a response. How long does the application process usually take?

Hi Mohamad, this depends on recruiter and hiring manager how fast they want/ are allowed to hire. It always help to contact them pro-actively to show your interest and request a status update!

I am not sure which jobs you are referring to but in IT we are not hiring in Antwerp. We are hiring in Portugal, Hungary and India. Please understand that we are building out these three hubs in general. Thank you

Alright, I am currently finishing my studies in Electronics engineering and IT this summer. I am experienced in app development, data science and ICT from my university courses.
I believe I will require training since my work experience is still not that long. I have indeed developed apps and games using C#, C++ and JavaScript but have never worked on big projects yet since my experiences are mainly from university projects.

Hi Mohamad, it's great to see your enthusiasm. I will share your profile with the Talent Acquisition team in Antwerp/Belgium and we will evaluate your competencies also for a position in Portugal. Please continue applying to open roles. Best of luck.

    Hi Ameya,
    Thank you for your inquiry.
It's awesome that you are interested in Nokia.
Because the sponsorship criteria for work visas varies, whether it would apply for a given position should be discussed with the hiring manager for the position.
As a first step, please apply for the Nokia open position(s) at:
    https://www.nokia.com/about-us/careers/student-and-graduate-opportunities/

hi Marko, thanks for asking this question.
Should the employee require work or residence permits to enable him/her to work for Nokia in the new country, Nokia assists the employee in applying for the necessary documentation. When necessary, Nokia also assists the employee’s family in applying for residence permits. The employee cannot relocate, start work or receive salary or any benefits in the new country until all necessary permits for living and working in the host country are granted. In the event that the employee is not granted the appropriate permits, the employment offer is automatically nullified. Hope it helps.

This is for senior roles (Heads and etc) based in North America whilst applicants are EU Citizens?

Hi Sola, we do sponsor at Nokia but unfortunately this would be difficult to answer as each case would be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Thank you for inquiring.
