firmware developer role will stay longer? or AI take over it.?

Nayana R. asked a question to Casey C.

I am a Firmware Developer. I am thinking about switching to QA. Please let me know if you have any QA positions available.

    Hello Nayana R.,

As Enamul Haque mentions in "The Ultimate Modern Guide to Artificial Intelligence": "Artificial intelligence is a tool, not a master. When you have clear goals, it can empower you to achieve them." In my humble opinion, no - not yet, maybe in the far far future. But as of the moment, I see AI generally as a tool like any applications we use (like Microsoft Office 😅). I see the limitation of AI in general depending on the person using the tool, we are still the master.

As a firmware developer switching to QA, I think this is a good move. You're going from the mindset of developing/writing code to being a guardian of software quality. This will also open your mindset to see how the end product works - based on the customer requirements and specification.

I'd still encourage you to visit the Nokia careers website, see https://www.nokia.com/careers/.

    Best regards,

    Casey
