Greetings Ruchi, Apart from prog. lang., what technology/tech stack I need to be familiar as a fresher to crack SDE ?

Prerit V. asked a question to Ruchi R.

As a fresher (11 months exp), I'm hoping to work for a well known company to gain better hands on experience and Nokia is one reputed brand & organisation for decades. I want to know what tech stack, or technologies I need to experience enough to be a relevant candidate for software developer role?

    Ruchi R. Software Enginner

    Hello Prerit,
The relevant tools and technologies depend on the specific role you are interested in. However, in general it is important to have a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms. Also, familiarity with relational database like SQL and non-relational database like Redis is beneficial. At Nokia, you shall definitely benefit by having knowledge or experience in microservice software development with tools like Docker, and Kubernetes. Along with this, some knowledge of the telecommunication domain and 3GPP standards would give you an upper hand. Other tools and technologies that can also come in handy amongst more would be Git for version control, GTEST, and an understanding of the Agile Framework. Lastly, an open- to-learn attitude and collaborative mindset can always take you forward in your journey of being a successful Software Engineer at Nokia. Good Luck!
