Aviral G. asked a question to Vilmos M.
Dear Aviral,
Thank you very much for your question about Nokia's technology stack and AI transformation!
As a software engineer at Nokia, I can share my perspective on technologies and frameworks, though it's worth noting that Nokia is a very large company with a vast portfolio of both software and hardware solutions. I can mainly speak about the software projects I and the teams around me have worked on, which typically utilize cloud-native technologies with Kubernetes and microservices architectures, primarily using Go, Python, and Java. However, this represents just a small portion of the technologies used across the company.
Regarding AI, we're seeing its impact in multiple areas. Internally, AI tools are becoming part of our daily workflows in various ways — from assisting with design and development to helping with documentation and incident investigation. We utilize both industry-standard AI tools and custom solutions developed and trained in-house.
On the customer-facing side, Nokia is leading significant innovations in AI-powered networking. If you're interested in learning more about these, you might want to check out:
I wish you the best in exploring opportunities in the technology sector. It's an exciting time to be in this field, especially with the rapid advancement of AI and its integration into networking technologies!
