No, you don't need to speak Portuguese at all. For example, in my team, working from Lisbon, one of my colleagues is Italian and did not speak Portuguese when he joined the company, and my line manager is Indian and does not speak Portuguese yet. Both are currently learning, and we are very excited to support them.
