Prateek K. asked a question to Rita L.
I am currently pursuing my masters in data science from University at Buffalo. Previous I have worked with oracle as analyst. I am actively looking for spring 2025 internship, I would be grateful for your valuable insights
Hi Prateek.
I would say that there is no road map on how to get in, it should always depend on your knowhow but also what you are more passionate about.
If I have to suggest something I would say:
- Focus on learning languages like Python or SQL because those are the ones that are more commonly used in all development areas of the business that I know and that are related to your areas of interest.
- Focus on creating a dynamic profile on your CV, I believe that currently people hiring are not only looking at what you know, but also at what value you can bring to the community, to have a great environment at work, to be engaging, dynamic and full of ideas and collaborative spirit, so you can enrich your profile and CV by participating and taking all opportunities to learn, but also enrich yourself as an individual and learn from the experiences.
- The best recommendation that I can give is for you to invest time in the things you love to do because happy developers are the best ones and you will feel much more productive and motivated and I believe those are the skills that Nokia needs.
Hope I was able to help you 😄
