Sheikh M. asked a question to Casey C.
With a background in RF design, optics, fabrication, and materials characterization, I’m interested in understanding how researchers like me can transition effectively into Bell Labs’ interdisciplinary environment.
Hello Sheikh M.,
In my humble opinion, your RF and optics background has excellent potential at Nokia Bell Labs. To prepare you for the role depends on what you want to achieve, but toward the direction of research, I would say to read more on the latest innovations (e.g., 6G) - here's a good material that I recommend: "Charting the path to 6G" - https://www.nokia.com/6g/, where a lot of research is happening.
As a first step, I'd recommend visiting https://www.nokia.com/careers/ to explore the opportunities. Feel free to ping me once you're in!
Best regards,
Casey
