Ravin K. asked a question to Burcu D.
It is a great question, Ravin. Diversity in the background, perspective, and thought is critical to any company's success: diversity helps us better understand the needs of our customers and facilitates varied thinking that informs the creativity and relevance of our work. It means higher rates of innovation and better customer insights. Diversity also helps to have better decision-making, and higher ability to spot and reduce business risks. Lastly, diversity is critical for employee engagement and retention: people like to work in environments where they can be their unique selves and thrive. We are very diverse with more than 85,000 employees of 163 different nationalities, but we know that diversity is of little value without inclusion. Therefore, inclusiveness is at the heart of our value creation and the core of our operations. We want everyone at Nokia to feel valued, heard, respected, and feel safe. Inclusion and diversity will become more important in the future because only through higher collective intelligence we can make better decisions, solve problems more easily, and continue to be creative and innovative. That is very important for our industry.
