From my experience, Nokia focuses on building a strong knowledge and an innovative culture as a foundation. This foundation helps individuals develop the skills and mindset necessary to think creatively, solve complex problems, and eventually propose innovations or improved IPRs. Furthermore, Nokia organizes workshops from time to time to generate and encourage innovations.

The key skills and knowledge areas developed by interns may vary across Nokia, as each intern is assigned to different roles and departments. Sharing from my department, interns typically learn about telecommunications technology, enhance their programming skills (using C++), learn log analysis, and develop problem-solving skills.

With hands-on experience, supported by Nokia's culture (being open, fearless, and empowered), interns are encouraged to contribute to actual projects or innovation. In addition, interns also develop soft skills like teamwork, communication, and adaptability through cross-functional collaboration.
