Hello Teja, the onboarding process varies across our diverse teams within the organization. We are a sizable company, and each team adopts its own approach to integrating new employees. Some teams arrange social activities like lunches, introductions via Teams, or trivia sessions. Others may organize broader events such as skiing trips or movie outings. It truly depends on the team's preferences.
For instance, within the student community at Nokia, we facilitate team-building activities despite students belonging to different business groups. These activities include coffee and networking sessions, escape rooms, ping pong tournaments, professional development workshops, board games, lunches, and sports activities. The diversity of experiences hopefully ensures a welcoming and engaging onboarding process. Thank you!
Thank you Linda for a detailed answer. Wow, the various onboarding processes adopted by different teams really sound exciting. Tongue-in-cheek, given a choice I would definitely want to join a team that organizes skiing trips for team building. No better way to make friends than skiing!
Best Regards,
Tejas
Haha! Yes, lots of opportunities with various events and team building exercises. It's not all business groups but some do. Best of luck!
