Ibne S. asked a question to Rita L.
Great question, and thanks for asking!
My daily routine is slightly different from that of a typical Data Scientist since I currently work as a Process Mining Expert. However, the overall work-life dynamics are quite similar to those of developers.
I usually start my day by planning and prioritizing tasks, ensuring I have a clear overview of what needs to be tackled, what’s pending on my side, and which tasks have the highest priority. After that, our team typically has a daily sync meeting, where we discuss critical topics, align on ongoing tasks, and check if anyone needs support or guidance.
Following the team meeting, I attend various project-related calls. These discussions help me understand project requirements, provide business updates on development progress, and validate the use case’s advancement. Additionally, I often have working sessions with my co-developers, where we collaborate on development tasks.
Currently, I work primarily with Celonis, but in the future, I will transition to using Microsoft platforms, leveraging SQL, Python, and tools like PAPM and Power BI. Besides daily development work, I also participate in weekly calls with stakeholders, team brainstorming sessions, and team-building activities to foster collaboration and innovation.
This structure defines a typical workday for me and most of my colleagues.
Hope this gives you a helpful insight!
