A PhD gives you deep technical expertise, experience with original research, strong problem-solving and mathematical skills, and also the ability to handle complex, ambiguous problems, which are amazing skills for all companies. Here at Nokia, that would be extremely valuable in jobs related to computer engineering that involve:

• Advanced research & innovation (Bell Labs, Nokia Research Center)
• Wireless systems, 5G/6G development
• AI/ML model development
• Specialized areas like cybersecurity, or edge/cloud computing
• Patents, scientific publications, and long-term technology strategy

Those are just some areas where that type of knowledge would be extremely valuable.
