How would you save the planet Earth?

Hi, I am an environmental marketing specialist working for geonardo to promote their sales. Would you have any interesting offer to me?

Hi Heikki, first of all, I could say that the planet Earth does not need to be saved, even if the overall biodiversity of life were to collapse, the planet (as a complex living ecosystem) would likely survive us.

So if you don't mind, we could reformulate your question: "How should we attempt to preserve the life-support eco-systems and services that make the current human civilization possible and viable in the first place?"

In my humble, limited, and personal opinion, technology/ies are not the answer here either. Tech, being a tool, a powerful one but still a tool, it all depends on how tech is being designed, and put to use, especially with what incentives and governance.

    Hi,

The answer depends on your definition of "saving."

If you're referring to environmental saving, I believe everyone should start with household practices. Personally, I avoid unnecessary plastic, practice selective waste collection, and conserve electricity, water, and car usage. These aren't just theoretical ideals, but daily habits. Regarding climate change, my approach is consistent: I actively support and utilize renewable energy sources, prioritizing public transport and cycling over car use. In the hypothetical event of an alien attack, I would volunteer for a team focused on establishing communication and discussion, always advocating for a peaceful resolution. :-)

    Best regards,
