Max S. asked a question to Linda K.
Every position is different depending on region, hiring manager, and role requirements but generally speaking most Product Marketing Managers needs a blend of strategic and technical skills to drive product success. Key competencies include market analysis, heavy customer focus, and strategic thinking to create effective go-to-market strategies. Strong communication and collaboration skills are also essential for working with cross-functional teams and presenting product value to various stakeholders and technical knowledge of Nokia’s technology portfolio. Thanks.
Thank you for your insightful response! In your opinion, how can a candidate effectively demonstrate their admiration for and understanding of Nokia’s brand during an interview? Does showing a genuine connection to an employee brand add value in the process?
Great question, thanks. In my opinion, knowing about a company's history, legacy, innovation, culture, and values has a direct and indirect impact. Beyond highlighting one's admiration for the company and brand, one can mention and relate to similar qualities in self during the process. As an example, if you love to innovate and connect it to the evolving Nokia innovation story, it makes it impressive. Similarly, if you like and relate it to working in an environment that is open, fearless and empowered, and connect to Nokia essentials, it would be appreciated. As it has been a journey of continuous transformation for Nokia, how it relates to your strength of change management can be found valuable. However, the actual role requirements and the individual's fitment to the same are most important. I wish you the best.
