Kat, this is a very thought-provoking question. Thank you. There are parts of my journey that I wouldn't change. I was in a position to determine much of this path and that was quite rewarding, and I wouldn't alter. What I would change is waiting for guidance and permission. If you have an interest or passion, just follow it and see where it leads. Embrace and own your journey. Specifically, you have a backgound, in computer science. If you don't know Python start learning. It's no longer a nice to have for Data Analysis. Enjoy your journey!
