Ayush B. asked a question to Kelly W.

HI Kelly,
Many thanks for your reply. I am active in research of quantum computing. May I know what sort of parameters are set for judging a candidate who applies for a research position at Bell Labs? Usually, at the place where I work, a university, here the candidates are judged based on their H index, the number of peer reviewed journal publication and number of patents filed. I am interested to apply for a job role in Bell Labs, but they don't operate in our country, India.
Any help is appreciated.
Best,
Ayush Banerjee
Hello, thank you for your question. I would say there is no set parameters that is universal for every research group, and every group evaluate candidates differently based on how much of a fit the candidate's background is.
