This is an excellent question, thank you for that. In my opinion, a good mix of soft skills and relevant role requirements (e.g. technical skills) is preferred. As we notice, AI and automation are the biggest trends for today and tomorrow. Almost all Nokia products and solutions are leading examples of the same. The 3 business groups at Nokia are helping our CSP and enterprise customers to achieve more from AI and Automation. Our cloud and network services (e.g. Autonomous networks), Mobile Networks (Nokia's Intelligent RAN Operations solution implements machine learning functionalities that help cope with network complexity and our AI-based Self- Organized Networks solutions) and Network Infrastructure (The data center solution to meet the demands of the AI-era, Nokia optical networks for AI help you meet the demands of AI-enabled applications and use AI to simplify, scale and get maximum value from your network) are all great examples of the same.

So, overall, a good focus on the relevant technology area coupled by excellent collaborative and problem-solving skills would be a great mix to thrive at Nokia. All the best.

Hi Dharmendra, thank you for the detailed insights — I found your explanation of how Nokia applies AI and automation across its business groups really eye-opening. The examples you mentioned, like Intelligent RAN Operations and AI-based Self-Organized Networks, show how deeply innovation is embedded in Nokia’s approach.

As a Computer Science student at York University exploring AI and automation projects, I’m really curious how leadership teams like yours identify and nurture emerging technologies within Nokia — especially ones that start as experimental and grow into large-scale solutions.
