Hi Yalamanchili and thank you for your question.
Nokia is a large-scale company and the range of technologies used in the IT industry is quite large. So I prefer to give you some information about a particular product, which is called Fixed Wireless Access – FWA. I am currently working in FWA 4G as a Software Test Engineer. The goal of the FWA product is to bring customers closer, by offering fixed gigabit broadband in 4G or 5G. This service can wirelessly connect homes and small businesses and can satisfy the most demanding entertainment and business use cases. The main products of the FWA service are the following:
- 5G Receiver: It has high-performance antennas, and indoor-outdoor flexibility and is self-installed by customers.
- 5G Gateway: Combines 4G/5G WAN with integrated Wi-Fi for homes and businesses.
- 4G Receiver: Increases coverage and speed and is an outdoor receiver.
- 4G Gateway: Facilitates the connection of fixed subscribers through 4G gateways with Wi-Fi.
The FWA service is part of the Nokia FastMile solution. Below are some benefits and features of this solution:
- Usability: Quick and easy to install and set up. Indoor & outdoor options for flexible deployment. Consumer-friendly installation apps.
- Performance: Speeds that rival fixed broadband services (fiber optics). High-gain antennas can provide broadband even in rural areas.
- Wi-Fi integration: Integrated Wi-Fi 6 for in-home connectivity. Self-healing Wi-Fi with additional cloud management capability.
- Service Management: Service fulfillment tools to provision, install and validate FWA services.
Finally, I present you some similar solutions – technologies with FWA service. More information can be found by clicking on each link.
