Data Science is a combination of Business Domain Knowledge, Programming Skills and Math and Statistics. So these areas are the place to start. A sound understanding of Math and Statistics and Analytics. Programming Skills - Python or R. Machine Learning of course and with the exponential growth of unstructured data (text and images), NLP and Deep Learning are also needed. There are a number of online Data learning platforms that have certificate programs that are comprehensive. Note that this space is moving so your skill development will be an ongoing journey.
