Mark R. asked a question to Dharmendra S.
At Nokia, leadership is defined more by the people we influence than by reporting lines. A good leader should inspire by living Nokia essentials, and promoting an Open, Fearless, and Empowered culture. Living in line with our essentials will help us to become a great technology leader and trusted partner. Further, leaders are expected to be accountable and transparent. We don’t expect every Nokia leader to have all the answers, but leaders need to be able to find them. Transparent communications ensure that teams and peers are on the same page, while accountability ensures that where gaps may exist, there will be a Nokia leader working to close them. A good leader must be driving growth, building the big picture, connecting with colleagues across disciplines, and motivating others towards personal, team, and business development. Embracing change, continuous learning, and accepting and implementing feedback are other key qualities that make a good leader at Nokia. Happy to explain further if required.
