As a mechanics designer, you would ideally have knowledge of CAD tools. In addition, knowledge about the PDM tool would be beneficial. Mechanics designers are also doing simulations in several areas such as FEM, wind forces, and thermal. On top of that, the most important quality is to be a good team player and overall curious person with an active "we can" attitude
