Hi, Sandra, we are not over Covid yet, far from it... but right from the start of the global spread we have taken many of our learning offers online. This on top of what we have been using in the last couple of years as online solutions, e-learning, micro-learning through the tools Nokia provides all its employees.
Why? One of our core values is Renewal, we believe in life-long learning, and through our senior leaders also role model learning and development.
Just last week we dedicated our Global Day of Learning to help employees discuss and understand the implications of a fast-changing world and talking about the opportunities to learn.
Besides all the online solutions, we also emphasize the benefits of knowledge sharing - in communities, through subject matter experts, webinars, and such.
Last, but not least, we also see huge potential in learning through coaching and mentoring.
Our overall goal is to offer learning opportunities to all in Nokia, and our Personal Development Plan (PDP) is part of that process.
Hi Sandra - Thanks for your question - I went to Nokia's world-class learning and development organization for their perspective, and here's what they said... For our company and the world with the rise of Covid-19, technology is dramatically influencing every aspect of our daily lives. The global pandemic has amplified and accelerated digital transformation and the need for upskilling to better be able to work in a digital environment. As we look to the future, Nokia will continue to move towards technology-enabled learning for our customers, partners and employees. Here’s a recent article where Sergio Fasce, Chief Learning Officer for Nokia, addresses digital technologies as a fundamental component to the post-Covid recovery, https://www.futurithmic.com/2020/08/07/what-future-learning-looks-like-digital-economy/
