When I mention horizontal vs. vertical is: Nokia values more that someone has the knowledge on many different technologies or they want me to be really verticalized in the sense that I'm the best specialist in a single technology/product?

Hi, Thank you for the interesting question. The career path could be both horizontal and vertical depending upon the individual. The individual could diversify, and add more products to her/his portfolio to become responsible for a range of products and services (e.g. a Care Technical Manager). On the other hand, the individual could develop a deeper understanding of a product with further specialization to become a senior or next-level expert of the same technology/product. It largely depends upon the interest of the employee/expert and the available opportunities.
