Lucy L. asked a question to Archit G.
Hey Lucy,
Greetings!
In UX design, the most valued skills include user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing—basically, understanding user needs and solving problems with intuitive design.
Traits like empathy, curiosity, and adaptability are also key.
Since I’ve been working at Nokia Networks primarily in branding, graphic design, and content like eBooks and social media, I’ve seen how important visual clarity and consistency are—skills that translate well into UX. For a newbie, standing out means showing a strong grasp of user thinking, having a solid portfolio (even passion projects), and being open to feedback. Even small case studies or redesigns of everyday apps can help you get noticed.
Wishing you good luck for your career journey 🙂
