Vishnu R. asked a question to Ruchi R.
Hello Vishnu R,
My advice would be to have excellent problem-solving and programming skills as they are key to being a Software Engineer at Nokia along with having a strong hold over core Computer Science concepts like Operating Systems, Network Protocols, Database Management Systems, SDLC, and so on. A good knowledge of the telecommunication domain and 3GPP standards would give you an upper hand in the process of applying to Software Engineer roles at Nokia. Some of the widely used programming languages in Nokia are C/C++, Python, and Go along with Shell scripting. You can also benefit from having a good foundation or experience in microservice software development with tools like Docker, and Kubernetes. Other tools and technologies that can also come in handy amongst more would be Git for version control, GTEST, and Agile Framework. Lastly, an open- to-learn attitude and collaborative mindset can always take you forward in your journey of being a successful Software Engineer at Nokia. Good Luck!
