Ben B. asked a question to Rana M.
Hi there Ben,
Thank you for connecting with me on the Insider and for your interest in learning more about our assessment processes.
From my experience with interviews over the years, I can tell you that being well-prepared in advance goes a long way in your interview performance . Lack of preparation can hinder both your performance during the interview and your confidence in discussions. When you prepare in advance, it can really boost your confidence and help you shine during the conversation. It's essential to conduct thorough research on the role you are interviewing for, the company, and the specific business unit. This knowledge can really showcase your motivation and enthusiasm! Also, don’t forget to prepare some thoughtful questions for your interview and to highlight your strengths and what makes you a great fit for the role.
Sometimes, candidates may feel they need to rush to a response to a question, and that it may reflect poorly on them if they do not answer promptly. If you come across a question that stumps you, don’t feel pressured to answer immediately. It’s perfectly acceptable to ask the interviewer for a moment to think about a question you find challenging or to seek clarification if you are unsure . Taking this time is a positive sign that you're focused on giving a well-thought-out response.
I hope this has been helpful, and I am always here if you have any questions!
