Could you share which skills are most valued for the Thermal Engineer-Job ID: 28983? Any insights would be appreciated..

Sivaraman K. asked a question to Rana M.

I am skilled in thermal analysis, heat transfer, & fluid dynamics, including CFD simulations & system-level thermal optimization. I worked at Cummins on cooling system development for liquid-cooled diesel engines & currently test & validate centrifugal pumps at Celeros Flow Technology in Burlington.

Hi Sivaraman, great to connect with you, and I’m really glad to hear you’re interested in opportunities with us!

For each role, we look for a specific mix of skills, and for this Thermal Engineer position, we’re mainly looking for someone with strong thermal and mechanical engineering fundamentals, especially in electronics cooling at the device, PCB, and system level. Hands‑on experience with CFD thermal tools—ideally Siemens/Flomerics (such as FloTHERM)—is important, along with experience validating simulations through testing and real‑world data.

Experience in the telecommunications domain is a big plus, particularly if you’ve worked with high‑power or high‑density systems. Any background in electronics packaging would also be an added advantage. We also value strong analytical thinking, the ability to work well with cross‑functional teams, and clear communication skills. We’re looking for someone who’s self‑driven, collaborative, and comfortable contributing throughout the full product lifecycle—from early design right through to final release.

I hope that helps and best of luck with your application!

    Warm wishes,

    Rana
