I saw your profile quote saying you "took a leap," and I was intrigued. If you don't mind, what leap did you take?

Hi Nicholas, It's wonderful to connect with you, and I appreciate your interest in my profile and career journey.

In terms of taking a "leap," I have done this twice from a career perspective. First, I made a decision from being an accountant to a role in recruitment. Then, I made a significant shift from the management consulting industry to Nokia. These experiences illustrate, from my perspective, that there are always opportunities to change your career path and pursue your true passions. I hope this inspires you, and remember, never hesitate to follow your career aspirations!

    Warm regards,

    Dear Rana,

Thank you for sharing! I greatly appreciate it.

I asked this question particularly because it seems that soon enough I will have a leap to take in one direction or another. I understand that the steps I take here on out can dictate the path which my career follows in the future. That being said, I fervently await the opportunity to take my life where it may, and make a difference where there are differences to be made. One such career leap, if allowed the opportunity, would be here at Nokia. I don't know, as with any job, exactly what it is that I myself will do to make an impact, but I am confident that will the skills and knowledge I have now, and that I will continue to develop, I will be able to exceedingly fulfill my role.

With this in mind, and the opportunity that may await me, I wanted to ask; Do you have any recommendations and advice for someone applying to positions at Nokia? The applicant world is shrouded in uncertainty, and I was hoping you could shed some light in this dark area. Anything is welcome and greatly appreciated. I thank you in advance.

    Warm Regards

    -Nick

    Hi Nick,

Thank you for sharing your story and insights about your career aspirations. It’s clear that you’re passionate about your journey, and I’m rooting for you! I completely understand how overwhelming the job market can feel, and it is perfectly natural to feel daunted by the process.

As you navigate this journey, remember that your CV is often the first impression you’ll make on a potential employer. When you come across opportunities that excite you, take a moment to reflect on how the role’s requirements align with your experiences and skills. It's really important to personalize your CV for each opportunity. Highlighting your unique (and transferable) skills, experiences, and achievements can make a significant difference. Your CV tells your story, and that story is uniquely yours. You’ve got this!
