Hi There,
Nokia offers a range of internal opportunities and resources to help new grads upskill and grow. There are structured onboarding programs, technical training sessions, and access to learning platforms like LinkedIn Learning and NokiaEDU, where you can learn anything from very technical networking topics, to how to do a presentation. If you are interested in Networking specifically, you are also able to try your hand at getting a Nokia certification: Service Routing Certification (SRC) Certifications | Nokia.com. If you pass your exam while working here, it is paid for by Nokia!
New grads can also join communities like NextGEN, which provide networking, mentorship, and leadership opportunities. Personally, being part of NextGEN has helped me connect with peers, organize events, and build soft skills alongside my technical role. There’s a strong culture of collaboration and continuous learning here, which makes it easy to grow both professionally and personally.
Thank you for the reply, Nick!
Sounds like there's lots of exciting opportunities! I just looked up the NextGEN program, and it seems like an awesome community to be part of.
There definitely are some great opportunities for learning and growing. I am currently the ambassador for the NextGEN community in Canada, and it has been great! Since the company is so large I would never get to see different parts of the company like the way I do from the NextGEN group. I work in Technical Support, but because of NextGEN I also have friends now in the Docs team, HR, Engineering, and so much more. It is a great opportunity to meet many people!
