    Hi Joshua,

Great question! The intern experience at Nokia is very hands‑on and collaborative. Interns aren’t just watching from the sidelines, you’re treated as a real part of the team, given meaningful work, and involved in projects that actually matter. There’s a strong culture of learning and openness, so asking questions, sharing ideas, and building connections across teams is very much encouraged.

I didn’t start at Nokia as an intern as I had joined later in my career; but I’ve seen many interns grow into full‑time roles or come back to Nokia later on. The internship is a great way to really understand the business, the technology, and the culture from the inside. It can be an incredibly rewarding experience and a strong first step in building your career.

I hope that helps, and I am always here if you have any further questions.

hi @Nick M. and @Emre C.: as former students now working full time at Nokia, could you share your experiences too?

    Hi Joshua,

During my dual studies at Nokia Germany, I did internships in different teams across the company and I can confirm that my experience was exactly as Rana described it above. You are part of the team from day one and given your own tasks to work on. This could be writing code, preparing a customer or internal presentation or developing an internal concept. For example, during my internship abroad at Nokia Japan, I was responsible for working on a new inventory tool that they wanted to use in their Labs. This involved the overall concept and implementing some automation around it.

I completed most of my internships in Germany and in Japan, but based on the feedback from fellow interns I can confirm that this is also applies to other countries such as the UK, Canada, Singapore, Austria and Portugal. No matter where you are based, I am sure you will have a great internship at Nokia.

Hope this helps! All the best!
    Cheers
    Emre
