Neeha G. asked a question to Monika M.
Dear Neeha, great to connect with you on the Insider, and thank you for your thoughtful question. I would say the main factors to focus on are a combination of technical, soft and commercial skills. Depending on whether you are taking your career the technical route then for example' networking fundamentals, cloud, and programming skills stand out. From soft skills perspective, Nokia is all about being open, fearless and empowered and that translates into our diverse global working environment. So, being able to communicate openly, collaborate effectively cross functionally and globally are important. Finally, having a basic understanding of the industry and trends can definitely be useful. I hope this helps and I am always here if you have any other questions!
Hi Neeha, Thanks for your question — it’s great to see you thinking ahead about your development. From a manager’s perspective at Nokia, new graduates grow fastest when they build solid technical foundations, understand how complex systems fit together, and communicate clearly within our global teams. Proactivity and taking ownership of tasks make a big difference, as does a strong learning mindset, since our technologies evolve quickly. With curiosity, initiative, and good collaboration, new joiners typically progress very quickly and make a strong impact.
